    Hollywood actress Jessica Alba has confirmed an age-old myth - that men prefer blondes.

    The stunning 27-year-old is a natural brunette but she died her hair blonde for her role as Nancy Callahan in the 2005 film Sin City.

    Jessica, who just gave birth to her first child Honor with her husband Cash Warren, said that she has never been as popular with the opposite sex as when she was a blonde, adding that she was particularly surprised at the age of some of her would-be suitors.

    She told Cosmopolitan magazine: "When I went blonde for Sin City three years ago, I swear I've never had more male attention.

    "I'd go to a bar and all these princes and much older men would want to buy me a drink - I'm talking guys in their 80s!"

    But now Jessica's returned to her original colour and she's still gorgeous.
