Anna's love letters to boyfriend

Anna Friel has revealed that she writes love letters to her partner David Thewlis in order to keep their romance alive when they are on opposite sides of the Atlantic.
The British actress, who shot to fame on the popular soap Brookside, has received critical acclaim with her new US drama Pushing Daisies.
Harry Potter star David currently resides in Britain while Anna is in Los Angeles with the couple's two-year-old daughter Gracie.
Despite settling in to the LA lifestyle, Anna says that she misses David terribly and likes to use "old-fashioned" ways to show him how much she loves him.
She explained: "I think the element of surprise is the most romantic thing. And I still love writing letters. I know there's email and everything but I like letters, and I like flowers of course - just like every other girl.
"I've been known to write love letters to David. I'm an old-fashioned girl. I like the old school way of doing things."
