The modern obsession with mobile phones, gadgets and technology is ruining our relationships, according to the results of a new study.
More than a quarter of men (26 per cent) admitted to having thrown a spanner in the works of an intimate moment by checking their mobile phone to make a call or send a text message.
Over 30 per cent of those aged 18 to 34 confessed to spending too much time playing with their gadgets, while 12 per cent said they were so attached to their technological devices that they could not bear to part with them on a romantic break.
Shamefully, nine per cent of respondents said that they had thought about important texts or calls while actually having sex, the poll of 1,950 men by www.stuffshow.co.uk revealed.
"We know that gadgets and phones have a huge influence on our lives but we were surprised by the number of people who put their love life in jeopardy simply to keep in touch," said Rob Nathan from Stuff magazine.
"Technology makes life easier but it is a brave or foolish person who risks a relationship by paying attention to a mobile phone rather than their loved one."
To ensure that technology is the maker, not the breaker of your relationship, search now to find your perfect date!
