Best date movies revealed

  A night in with a DVD and a bottle of wine can make a great date, but unfortunately men and women frequently tend to disagree about what makes a good movie.
  
  Luckily Blockbusters has compiled a list of romantic movies that they say both men and women will enjoy.
  
  The DVD rental company says that the secret of a great date movie is that it is slushy and romantic enough to appeal to girls, but also has an element of comedy or adventure for the guys.
  
  Number one on the poll was the romantic comedy 50 First Dates, starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, followed by Casablanca, When Harry Met Sally, Wedding Crashers and The Princess Bride.
  
  To ensure that nobody gets their date off to a bad start, Blockbusters has also named a few films to steer clear of.
  
  These include Rambo, The Terminator and Platoon because no matter how much men may love action films, they are unlikely to impress the ladies.
  
  Meanwhile women may love warm-hearted chick-flicks such as Beaches, Dirty Dancing and Titanic, but they are likely to leave their men feeling cold.
