    Cerys Matthews and Marc Bannerman have opened up about their burgeoning relationship and have said that they are happy with the way things are going.

    The former Catatonia singer and ex-Eastenders star struck up a romance when they were in the jungle together in ITV1's hit reality show I'm A Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!

    The relationship hit the headlines because Marc already lived with his long-term girlfriend Sarah Matravers.

    However he could not control his feelings for recently divorced mother-of-two Cerys and the pair have been dating since they returned to the UK.

    Speaking on Al Murray's Happy Hour, Marc defended his actions, saying: "I fell in love with someone and that is that.

    "I know I hurt someone back in England but what can you do? Life goes on and I hope she is all right."

    Cerys added that the relationship was "going well".
