Christian Bale's bad anniversary memory

  Batman star Christian Bale had a resourceful solution to the problem of potentially forgetting his wedding anniversary - he married his wife on her birthday.
  
  The 34-year-old heart-throb, who is currently starring as the caped crusader in The Dark Knight, has been married to Sandra 'Sibi' Blazic for eight years and the couple have a three-year-old daughter together.
  
  Despite his immense acting talents, Christian says that he has a terrible head for dates and can never remember things.
  
  Therefore he made sure that he would never forget his wedding anniversary by marrying Sibi on her birthday on January 29th 2000.
  
  He recalls the happy occasion: "It was impulsive. We eloped together and didn't tell anyone.
  
  "We went to Las Vegas and looked for an Elvis Presley lookalike to marry us, but we couldn't find one, so we just went and did it anyway."
  
  He added that he lived a "rootless existence" before he met his Bosnian-born wife on a beach in California.
  
  The star says that Sibi is the reason why he has been able to remain so grounded and refers to her as his "secret weapon".
