Couple marry after 50-year courtship

  A 101-year-old Italian man is to finally make his 98-year-old girlfriend his bride after a courtship that has spanned more than half a century.
  
  Giuseppe Rebaudi, a retired gynaecologist, started dating French-born Silvie Basain in 1952 and the happy couple are to marry next month.
  
  The blushing bride told Ananova: "We just need to get a certificate from the French embassy that I have not been married before and am single."
  
  The ceremony is to take place at the couple's home in Bordighera, north-west Italy.
  
  Ms Basain said that her only concern was that she and her soon-to-be husband may be rushing into marriage.
  
  She said: "We have only been together for 50 years - that may be a bit quick but then again you are only young once."
