
Amazed by Lonestar has topped a list of the most popular wedding songs for couples enjoying their first dance, it has emerged.
The single may be almost a decade old and may have failed to make it into the UK top 20 upon its release in 1999, but clearly it is still striking the right note with young couples today.
Bryan Adams' famous love song Everything I Do emerged as the second most popular wedding song, followed by Robbie Williams' romantic ballad Angels.
James Blunt made it into the top five with his wistful hit You're Beautiful at number four, while Aerosmith's I Don't Want to Miss a Thing came fifth.
Shania Twain made it into the top ten twice, with Still the One and the aptly titled From This Moment On.
Other romantic love songs to make it into the top ten include Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You, Truly, Madly, Deeply by Savage Garden and Have I Told You Lately by Van Morrison.
The results are based on figures from wedding DJs in a UK-dico.com survey.
Ellis Rich, chair of the Performing Right Society (PRS), told The Sun: "Weddings tend to be more memorable when a couple include a special song."
