Dempsey admits 'poor' proposal

  Grey's Anatomy heart-throb Patrick Dempsey has admitted that although he professes to "love romance" his own proposal to his wife was less than ideal.
  
  The Hollywood hunk has been married to his make-up artist wife Jillian Fink for eight years but confessed recently that he popped the question in a rather haphazard fashion.
  
  The 42-year-old told Entertainment Tonight: "We just bought this house and we were in the middle of remodelling it and the kitchen was a mess.
  
  "I kept giving her this line where I had to find the right ring, and I finally found it while she was gone and I couldn't wait, so I popped the question in the kitchen!"
  
  The actor added that although it has been great spending some quality time with his five-year-old daughter, he is happy that the writer's strike is over and he can go back to work.
