  To anyone who is apprehensive about trying online dating for the first time, dating expert Olivia Glauberzon has offered some handy advice and says that the most important thing to remember is - you get what you give.
  
  Writing for the Town Crier, Ms Glauberzon says that your dating profile is all-powerful and that spending some time on it will allow you to reap the benefits.
  
  "You never get a second chance to make a first impression, so take the time to make it a good one," she says.
  
  "It takes seconds to post a profile, but it can take at least 30 minutes to construct a respectful one, which shows others you are serious about meeting someone."
  
  Ms Glauberzon outlines three rules to ensure people take your profile seriously.
  
  The first rule is to always include a good quality picture which includes just yourself without friends, pets or cars.
  
  The second rule is to always post the truth as it will come out anyway if you secure a date and the third rule is to make sure you genuinely describe yourself rather than being reticent or over-the-top.
