A British couple had a truly white wedding when they braved temperatures of minus 12 degrees C in order to get married in an igloo.
Plumber Chris McQuade and accountancy practice manager Louise O'Mara were watched by 17 family members as they tied the knot in the ice house in Rovaniemi, Finland.
Instead of being drawn by a fairy-tale horse and carriage, the bride turned up to the ceremony on reindeer and sleigh.
After saying their vows, the couple celebrated with a drink in a bar made of ice, the Manchester Evening News reports.
The groom said: "It was absolutely freezing but it was brilliant. The igloo was beautiful with ice sculptures and little lights twinkling in the ceiling.
"We knew we couldn't afford to have the whole ceremony in this country so that's when we started looking abroad. This was such a special day and it's something we will never forget."
Louise and Chris now plan to thaw out with a honeymoon in the Maldives.
