A more open approach is the best way for users of online dating sites to find love, one expert has claimed.
Evan Mark Katz, author of I Can't Believe I'm Buying This Book: A Commonsense Guide to Successful Internet Dating, told Reuters that people ought to brush up their profiles if they are to enjoy any online dating success.
"Look around; you tell me - how good are profiles these days?" he asked.
"People, after years of doing this, they've gotten the message that they've got to do better. But most people don't know what that means."
Tips gathered by Reuters include being specific and honest in profiles. Being clearer could ensure that daters find a closer match and get on better in person.
Another dating expert - Dr Pam Spurr - recently wrote in the Times that white lies can be interpreted as a lack of respect by hoodwinked partners.
