People who think that online dating is a new phenomenon might be forced to think again when they learn that a couple who met via the internet in 1982 are celebrating their 25th anniversary.
Chris Dunn (51) met the love of his life Pam Jensen (56) on an early version of a chat room - a CompuServe CB Simulator program that linked computer users nationwide.
After a few months of chatting on the internet, Chris and Pam decided to meet up, immediately fell in love and married a year later.
While nowadays meeting your partner online is commonplace, Chris and Pam were operating in uncharted territory.
Pam told the Chicago Tribune: "At that time computers weren't as pervasive in our homes and our daily life. To a lot of people, especially my parents' generation and their friends, it seemed very alien."
Chris added: "I happened to find the person I fell in love with on a computer. And 25 years later we're still in love."
To find your happy ending, search for your perfect date!
