  After seeing pictures of Kelly Brook having the time of her life with rugby hunk Danny Cipriani just weeks after splitting from Billy Zane, we started to wonder if the so-called 'band-aid boyfriend' was the best way to get over an ex.
  
  Kelly (28) had been dating actor Billy for four years and the pair had even become engaged.
  
  But instead of moping around licking her wounds and crying on her mates' shoulders, fun-loving Kelly got right back in to the dating scene and nabbed herself a gorgeous toy-boy in the shape of 20-year-old sportsman Danny.
  
  And she isn't the first celebrity to opt for a band-aid boyfriend.
  
  Most women would be devastated after losing a hunk like Brad Pitt, but Jennifer Aniston kept the smile on her face by dating funny-man Vince Vaughan.
  
  Similarly, Penelope Cruz dated hottie Matthew McConaughey after her two-year relationship with Tom Cruise ended, while Cameron Diaz had fun in the sun with professional surfer Kelly Slater after she split from Justin Timberlake.
  
  Relationship counsellor Jenni-Trent Hughes told The Sun: "When a serious long-term relationship ends, our gut feeling is to seek out fun and forget all about it.
  
  "If it was your idea to finish the relationship and you're the one in control, then a band-aid boyfriend might not be a bad thing. It's a bit like cheering yourself up with a new haircut or pair of shoes."
