Katy Perry a hit with boyfriend's mates

Most girls know how nerve-wracking it is the first time you meet a boyfriend's mates, but Katy Perry appears to have done women proud by instantly winning the approval of her boyfriend's buddies.
The I Kissed a Girl hit-maker has been dating Gym Class Heroes star Travis McCoy for three years.
While some boys' mates often think of girlfriends as the people who are going to cause a rift in the group and place demands on their best friend, Travis's band-mates have confirmed that Katy fits right in.
They added that she is a vast improvement on some of the musician's previous girlfriends.
Gym Class Heroes member Eric Roberts said: "Anyone who can handle Trav has my respect to the utmost."
Drummer Matt McGinley added: "He's had some terrible girlfriends. Katy's the only one we like."
Which is just as well because it looks like things could be getting permanent between Katy and Travis.
The lead singer of the alternative band recently bought his pop star girlfriend a "promise ring".
Explaining the piece of jewellery, Travis said that the couple are not engaged but that he bought the ring to show Katy he wants to take the relationship "to another level" and "solidify things".
