A council library in Wales is aiming to help its bookish customers to find love by setting up special monthly singles evenings.
Swansea Central Library in south Wales is offering an alternative to people who do not like to meet other singles in bars and clubs and prefer a quieter place.
People who share a love of literature are invited to attend the lonely hearts evenings where they can pick up pink patches from the library reception to indicate that they are looking for love.
Assistant manager Emma Townshend told the BBC: "This is a different type of singles evening because it's not being held in a bar, restaurant or nightclub. It'll offer many people looking for a partner an environment they'll be more comfortable with.
"By looking at the sort of books and DVDs that take the fancy of others, it's an opportunity to spot someone who has similar interests."
