    Hollywood party girl Lindsay Lohan has topped Maxim magazine's annual Hot 100 list, it has emerged.

    The Mean Girls star, who is currently linked to lothario Calum Best, managed to beat off competitors including Angelina Jolie, Sienna Miller and Beyonce Knowles to take the number one position.

    Maxim editor in chief Jimmy Jellinek says that his male readers are "obsessed" with the 20-year-old actress.

    He said: "There is no other star in the world who causes more of a stir in the public eye than Lindsay.

    "Her every move is watched and reported on."

    Lindsay pipped actress Jessica Alba, who came in second, to the top spot, followed in order by Scarlett Johansson, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Biel, Ali Larter, Eva Mendes, Rihanna and Eva Longoria.
