    Jennifer Love Hewitt has become engaged to the Scottish actor Ross McCall, it has emerged.

    The couple have been dating for nearly two years and Sarah Fuller, Jennifer's representative, confirmed the pair were set to wed, telling US Weekly magazine: "They got engaged last week."

    The rep confirmed that 31-year-old Ross presented Jennifer (28) with an antique engagement ring which has been in the McCall family for over one hundred years.

    No other details were revealed about the happy couple's imminent wedding.

    The couple are currently holidaying in Hawaii, where Jennifer and Ross were photographed happily frolicking in the sea.

    This will be Jennifer's first trip down the aisle.
