Peaches Geldof marries in Las Vegas

  Peaches Geldof has shocked her fans by marrying her American rocker boyfriend Max Drummey during a whirlwind ceremony in Las Vegas.
  
  It is the same place that Peaches' parents Sir Bob Geldof and Paula Yates got hitched in 1986.
  
  Although no family members were present at the union of the 19-year-old DJ and the 23-year-old singer of indie band Chester French at the Little White Wedding Chapel, Sir Bob is said to be happy with his daughter's decision.
  
  Peaches' publicist issued a statement saying: "Peaches and Max Drummey are delighted to announce their very happy marriage. Their marriage has the full support of their family and friends."
  
  The Reverend Stephen Fabretti, who married Peaches and Max, said: "They looked very happy together. I remember the bride looked very young and pale and quite angelic."
  
  Peaches and Max, who is a Harvard graduate with a degree in Anthropology, met when Chester French played at the iTunes festival in London two months ago, which Peaches was co-presenting, and it is understood that they soon began a romance.
