Scarlett Johansson 'engaged'

  Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson has revealed that she is engaged to her actor boyfriend Ryan Reynolds and she has already showed off her engagement ring on the red carpet.
  
  The 23-year-old Lost In Translation star has been dating the 31-year-old Canadian for the past year and she displayed a new diamond ring as she attended the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala in New York City last night.
  
  Johansson's representative Marcel Pariseau confirmed the couple's engagement to People magazine on Monday, saying: "They're both thrilled."
  
  The couple have kept a relatively low profile and when quizzed about an imminent engagement recently Scarlett, who has been actively campaigning in the US presidential election, joked: "I am engaged - to Barack Obama."
  
  Scarlett previously dated Josh Hartnett, her co-star in The Black Dahlia, while Ryan was engaged to the singer Alanis Morissette in the past.
