Studies over the past ten years have shown that sexual activity has a positive impact on health and can effect many parts of the body, ranging from the heart to the brain and even the immune system.
It is claimed that regular sex can increase life span and even reduce levels of depression.
Now it is claimed that the pleasure associated with sex can help people to de-stress.
"Penetrative sex is associated with better psychological functions," said psychologist Dr Stuart Brody.
Dr Brody also explained that in a study: "Men and women who had intercourse had a better stress response."
