A married man from Japan has set up a group encouraging men to show more affection towards their wives.
Shuichi Amano, a magazine editor who founded the group National Teishu-Kampaku Association, loosely translated as the Chauvinistic Husbands Association, says that Japanese husbands need to express their love for their wives more often in order to save their marriages.
From his research involving thousands of married women, Mr Amano said that most want to hear three magic phrases from their husbands: 'thank-you', 'sorry' and 'I love you.'
"Many husbands are making a living managing risks at their businesses, but they neglect the ones at home," 55-year-old Mr Amano told AFP.
"We have to show our ability to change ourselves for the sake of our marriage."
