A new survey has revealed that Brits like to take their time in their search for a perfect partner as it takes an average of 22 dates, three one-night stands and three long-term relationships before they are ready to settle down.
Some more choosy Brits think that it takes a whopping 50 dates before they find Mr or Mrs Right, while a lucky quarter only need five dates to find the partner of their dreams.
People revealed their romantic views for entertainment website BT PodShow.
It emerged that regular talks and an active love-life were what most people were looking for in a relationship, while poor personal hygiene and a lack of a sense of humour were the biggest turn-offs.
Relationship expert Jo Hemmings said: "The four-day Bank Holiday gives us double the free time of a normal weekend, so double the chances to enjoy ourselves and find love.
"And the onset of spring, a full moon and an abundance of chocolate Easter eggs will all play their part."
If you want to take advantage of the Bank Holiday weekend, search for your perfect date now!
