Young people have turned the kitchen table into something of a love nest, new research suggests.
While traditionally the kitchen table has been seen as a place to eat and talk, it is now often used as a place of paramour.
Legal and General surveyed over 4,000 Brits as part of their Changing Face of British Homes research and found that less people eat round their kitchen table than in previous years.
Instead, older couples use their table as an opportunity to get close to people, with almost one in five (17 per cent) admitting to having regular heart-to-hearts over a glass of wine at their table.
Moreover, young people mostly choose to chat with friends and guests round their table (31 per cent) with a saucy nine per cent admitting to making love on the kitchen table.
If you too fancy putting your table to good use, search for your perfect date!
