Nicole Richie Engaged!
Nicole Richie announced last night that she is officially engaged to Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden.The Simple Life star broadcasted the news yesterday in New York during filming of the Late Show with David Letterman – the episode is expected to air on Friday in the US. Hubbie-to-be Joel later confirmed the news on Twitter thanking fans and sharing that they have been engaged secretly for a while.
Richie flashed her huge diamond engagement ring last night while posing for photographers outside of the Ed Sullivan Theatre, New York; the socialite looked thrilled and excited with the news.
This news of a settled lifestyle is a long way from Nicole in 2007 - she was sentenced to 4 days in prison for driving the wrong way down the motorway while under the influence.
The happy couple have been dating since December 2006 and have two young children together: Harlow, 2 and Sparrow just 5 months. While no dates have been confirmed, there are reports of a summer wedding, with plans already in action.
