  Rumours have been going wild this week with stories of Simon Cowell’s and Mezhgan Hussainy’s alleged engagement. One thing is for sure though; the X factor judge’s afgan-born ‘girlfriend’ was seen flashing a huge diamond ring worn on her engagement finger.

  While Cowell, worth £123million, will not comment on the rumours, he has made his strong feelings for her very clear; while chatting to Piers Morgan on his show ‘Life Stories’, Cowell claimed that “she is the one” and even hinted at wanting to have children.

  The much talked about ring was given to Hussainy as the pair dined with Simon’s ex Jackie St Claire and her husband at Mr Chow restaurant in west London on Valentine’s Day. The rock was then show off as the couple were driven home after their meal.

  Simon first met make-up artist Mezhgan on the set of American Idol and have been dating secretly for 6 months.

  Revelations that the pair may be engaged comes as a shock to many, as Cowell had previously stated that he will never get married for fear that he would lose all of his money. His former relationship to Terri Seymour allegedly ended due to his lack of commitment.

  While it is unclear if the rumours are true, it seems obvious that the pair are very much in love and excited about their flourishing romance.
